Country NSW Council Water Tank
Leaking construction joint to a country NSW Council water storage tank.
The country NSW Council water tank was leaking and in need of repair. This repair needed to be corrected without having to empty the towns drinking water.
X-Gel 3000 Polyurethane Injection gel repaired the leaking area without the need to empty the tank and lose the towns drinking water.
Pacific Fair Shopping Centre
Leaking shopping centre on the Gold Coast.
The Pacific Fair is one of the Gold Coasts largest shopping centres. Having leaks can be potentially dangerous for staff and customers.
Our team provided the product Sealtaq Construction Seal Band to the team from ASP Rope Access, which delivered a quick and efficient repair to the shopping centre.

Child Care Centre was leaking and needed fixing urgently. Closing up shop is never ideal however CIW remedial provides remedial solutions so no closure is necessary.

This four level basement was only meters from a Gold Coast Beach and was 7m below the water.
Our team successfully repaired this leaking basement on the Gold Coast with a curtain injection using X-Gel 3000 polyurethane injection Gel. The basement is now 100% dry.

ANZ Building Lismore
Repair waterproofing on the roof of the ANZ building in Lismore.
The ANZ building in Lismore was leaking and in urgent need of repair. CIW Remedial commenced work on rectifying the leaks to the roof without the need to close the building and disturb staff and customers.
Our Wetsuit membrane was used to rectify the problem. The roof was sprayed and detailed quickly and efficiently by our team.
Heritage Listed Fire Station
Ignite Studio, Ballina, NSW
The beautiful, heritage listed premises were previously used as a Fire Station for approximately 80 years. The Ballina Fire Station operations relocated to new premises in 2015 and the former Ballina Fire Station at 60 Crane Street was then acquired by Ballina Shire Council. Refurbishment works were carried out during 2018 for the adaptive re-use of the premises as a regional multi-disciplinary art space, celebrating the heritage values of the building and ongoing enjoyment of the facility for the whole community. The heritage Fire Station was experiencing water ingress. Our project was to stop the ground water ingress into the historic engine pit preventing further damage for display purposes.
We injected the perimeter of the engine pit joints with a hydrophilic Polyurethane Waterstop.

Protect heritage listed building from corrosive salts
Agressive salt attack to the internal face of the brick wall to this heritage listed building. The client required the rectification works be done without any physical damage to the existing brick surface.
Westox Cocoon desalination system was used as it provided a non-destructive solution to the problem.
Nova FM Building Remediation
Remediation Works To Heritage Listed Building
Location: 133 Commercial Rd, Teneriffe, Brisbane.
CIW Remedial were engaged by the Dunavant Group USA to undertake the following remedial repairs prior to sale.
- Salt effected brick work was desalinated, reconstructed and colour matched to the existing facade.
- Concrete cancer repairs done to all window heads.
- Rising damp injection to external walls.
- Roof and parapet waterproofing membrane replacement.
- UV stable clear penetrating sealer was applied to the entire facade surface.

The town of Roma is fed with fresh water via a 20m high concrete reservoir. Over many years of use the reservoir started to form shrinkage cracks within the tank walls.
All wall cracks were identified and then chemically injected with a flexible polyurethane grout. Leaving the wall service dry and protected.

Resolve rising damp issue and extract accumulated salts to prevent further degradation
This heritage listed sandstone structure built in 1924 had an aggressive problem with both missing damp as well as salt impregnation. These problems were causing the internal face of the heritage sandstone to delaminate.
Westox Low Odour 50 Injection gel was injected into the sandstone wall below ground level. This Low Odour 50 injection system provided a chemical damp proof course replacement, successfully blocking the rising damp problem, the Cocoon desalination system was then used as it provided a non-destructive salt extraction solution.

Remediate concrete cancer
During a major upgrade of the Aquatic Centre, several concrete areas to the lower plant rooms were identified to have concrete cancer.
All spalling concrete was mechanically removed. Any damaged reinforcing steel was replaced. The affected concrete sections were then reconstructed back to original profile, using high stretch non-shrink repair grout.

To reduce the losses of water from the Lake via the dam wall.
The Lake loses between approximately 5,000,000 litres and 8,000,000 litres of water per day depending on the water level. This is monitored on a daily basis.
Water has to be pumped from another source one hundred and twenty kilometres away to repleace the losses. The cost of pumping per day is an additional factor.
The cost of the lost water is approximately AU$ 4,000.00 per day.
Estimated project length 12 weeks.
Crack joint rebuilt and joint repair & installation completed 3 weeks.
9 weeks loss of water.
Water losses at this stage reduced by 4,000,000 litres approximately per day.
Savings in cost of water loss over A$3,000.00 per day (estimated at 80c per kl.) plus pumping costs.
Nine weeks ahead of schedule equates to a saving of over A$200,000

Repair weatherproofing of the building’s roof
The existing roof membrane had failed due to age.
Full roof membrane replacement. As this building is a very important government building a premium double layer membrane system was the only option.
Protect building façade and replace deteriorated joints
The NSW Law Court Building is an iconic government structure in Macquarie St Sydney. The building is a precast/pebble finish structure. Both the external facade as well as the panel joints were showing deterioration due to acid rain.
All existing precast panel weather seals were removed and replaced with Neoferma 16-105 Black EPDM gasket. The entire facade was then coated with two coats of Neoferma Neotone Clear penetrating sealer.
