The CIW Remedial team were engaged to stop the ground water ingress into the historic engine pit to prevent any further damage. We got in touch with Neoferma to specify a polyurethane resin suitable for refurbishment works on the heritage listed building.

Waterproof Leaks and Cracks With PUR-X Polyurethane Resins and Acrylics
One product in particular from Neoferma is PUR-X 300 which is an MDI based hydrophilic, one-component flexible polyurethane injection resin for waterproofing joints and cracks. In contact with the water the resin reacts and expands forming a permanent seal inside the leaking crack or construction joint.
The PUR-X Polyurethane resins range includes;
PUR-X 100 – Rigid Hydrophobic Injection Resin
PUR-X 100 is a 1-component, hydrophobic, water reactive, solvent and phthalate free, low viscosity polyurethane injection resin. In contact with water the PUR-X 100 will expand and react into a rigid closed cell foam. After full cure, the product will set as a permanent seal inside a crack joint, guaranteeing a long lasting waterproofing solution.
PUR-X 200 – Flexible Hydrophobic Injection Resin
PUR-X 200 performs the same as PUR-X 100 however will remain flexible with contact with water.
PUR-X 300 – Flexible Hydrophilic Injection Resin
PUR-X 300 is an MDI based hydrophilic, one component flexible polyurethane injection resin for waterproofing joints and cracks. In contact with water the resin reacts and expands forming a permanent seal inside the leaking crack or construction joint.
The ACRYL-X Polyurethane Acrylics range includes;
ACRYL-X 1000
ACRYL-X 1000 is a non-toxic aqueous solution of multifunctional acrylic monomers. The resin gels in a few seconds to a few minutes when an activator/initiator is added just before use. The final product is a soft and tacky cross-linked gel. In wet, or dry conditions, the volume of the gel increases, or decreases, in a reversible and waterproofing manner.
ACRYL-X 2000
ACRYL-X 2000 is a non-toxic aqueous solution of multifunctional acrylic monomers. The reaction time can be modified to meet conditions from a few seconds to a few minutes when an activator/initiator is added prior to use. The final product is a soft and tacky cross-linked gel. In wet, or dry conditions, the volume of the gel increases, or decreases, in a reversible and waterproofing manner.
ACRYL-X 3000
ACRYL-X 3000 is a non-toxic aqueous solution of multifunctional acrylic monomers. The resin gels in a few seconds, to a few minutes when an activator/initiator is added just before use. The final product is a soft and tacky cross-linked gel. In wet, or dry conditions, the volume of the gel increases, or decreases, in a reversible and waterproofing manner.
